The ‘STATIC’ series explores the abstract movement, shifting and reinventing it into the presence of the 21st century.
Created by digital media, the pieces still hold similar properties to those seen in early abstract paintings,
while in fact they are photographic stills from a piece of video.
They remind us of an evolution in materials, as well as an evolution in cognitive processes.
We have become somewhat preoccupied with the peripheral world surrounding us, rather than our interior.
Thus we have lost all understanding.
